Adam’s work as a composer also includes commissions for renowned dance companies and festivals, such as Paul Taylor’s American Modern Dance, The Washington Ballet, and the Vail International Dance Festival. He has also written music for orchestras, string ensembles, and synthesizers. Originally trained as a violinist, Adam also played keyboards for the NYC band Dopo Yume and later was the keyboardist for electroclash band Fischerspooner.

Adam received his Bachelor’s degree in Violin Studies from Syracuse University and studied composition at the Mannes School of Music in NYC. He also spent a year abroad studying violin at the Royal Conservatory of Music in Prague. Adam’s passion for music began early in his life, resulting in his high school attendance at the Interlochen Center for the Arts.

Adam currently resides in Los Angeles, California.

Adam is a versatile creative known for his memorable scores across film, television and the ballet world. Projects he has scored have received an array of impressive accolades, including an Emmy Nomination for the documentary Almost Sunrise and a Golden Globe Nomination for limited series Flesh and Bone, a Hollywood Music Award Nomination for Best Soundtrack for his work on Born to Fly and the Clio Award for his film and video campaign, Selfie

Currently, Adam is working on a new docu-series for Netflix, titled MerPeople. His notable film scores include The Dawn Wall, which won the Audience Award at its SXSW premiere, as well as Are We Lost, Bonding, Boomerang, and Strangers. Also upcoming for Adam is Down Low, which premiered at SXSW 2023 .
